Finance Manager Interim NEW

Cedar is currently partnered with an impressive PE-backed Consultancy business, to secure an Interim Finance Manager. This role is offered on a 4-6 month contract, based in Central London, with a largely remote working model and an expected day rate of £400-500.

The Role
As Interim Finance Manager, you will:

• Own and deliver the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting.
• Maintain full ownership of general ledger integrity, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Manage intercompany accounting and settlements, ensuring completeness and accuracy across group entities.
• Produce month-end management accounts, variance analysis, and supporting commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support the external audit process, preparing reconciliations, audit schedules, and detailed supporting documentation.
• Review and improve month-end processes, controls, and reporting timetables to drive efficiency and consistency.
• Deliver KPI reporting and financial dashboards aligned to month-end outputs and performance tracking.

Your Profile
You will ideally have:

• A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Proven experience in a similar finance role within a fast-paced, high-growth business, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience in industry.
• Strong working knowledge of working capital, treasury management, and transactional finance leadership.
• Hands-on experience driving process improvements and implementing automation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Previous experience using Netsuite is essential.
• Previous experience in contracting roles is preferred but not essential.
• The day rate offered represents a fair value or logical increase on your current salary or day rate.
• Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
