SAP S4 Leasing Consultant Interim

Cedar are urgently seeking an experienced S4 HANA Lease Accounting Specialist to play a pivotal role at the intersection of Finance and IT. The successful candidate will focus on the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud Lease Accounting (IFRS 16) functionality.

You will be responsible for ensuring full IFRS 16 compliance, managing lease data, accounting postings, and reporting across the organisation. This role requires close collaboration with Finance and IT teams to deliver accurate, efficient, and compliant lease accounting processes.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in) based in Central London.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data migration of lease data and valuations.
• Configure, maintain, and support S4 HANA Lease Accounting (IFRS 16) modules.
• Manage lease master data, contracts, and modifications.
• Ensure accurate accounting postings, reconciliations, and disclosures.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
• Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT).
• Partner with IT and Finance to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, AA, RE-FX).
• Produce process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Act as subject matter expert during audits, enhancements, and project rollouts.

About You

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with S4 HANA Lease Accounting or SAP FI/RE-FX, with exposure to IFRS 16.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 16 standards and their application in SAP.
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP S4 HANA lease functionality.

Desirable:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• SAP Finance / Lease Accounting certifications.
