Credit Controller – Insurance
Location: London

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum + benefits

A leading international insurance group is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their growing UK team. This is a fast-paced role where you will play a key part in managing broker and client relationships, ensuring accurate premium collections, and supporting effective financial processes.

The Role

• Chasing brokers and clients for outstanding premiums.
• Preparing aged debt reports, statements of account, and ad hoc reporting.
• Accurately cash matching premium receipts using finance systems (e.g. AutoRek or similar).
• Working with underwriters, brokers, and senior management to resolve payment queries.
• Ensuring timely and accurate payment of funds from IBA accounts.
• Minimising unallocated cash and managing potential bad debts.
• Maintaining up-to-date credit control procedures and documentation.
• Supporting the Credit Control Manager with ad hoc tasks.

About You

• Strong experience in credit control, ideally with exposure to Insurance but not essential.
• Strong credit control experience managing complex ledgers with a mixture of aged and legacy debt.
• Knowledge of the Lloyd’s or London Market (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• High numeracy with strong reporting and analytical ability.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
