Interim Senior Group FP&A Business Partner Interim

Cedar is currently partnered with a global, multi-sector infrastructure and services group to secure an Interim Senior Group FP&A Business Partner based in Central London. The role is a 6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £500-600 per day (inside IR35).

This international business operates across multiple sectors and geographies, employing tens of thousands of staff and delivering large-scale, contract-driven services to both public and private clients. With a long-standing history, recent investment from a new shareholder, and a strong growth agenda, the business is undertaking a transformation programme to enhance efficiency, strengthen governance, and improve strategic decision-making.

The Role

As Interim Senior Group FP&A Business Partner, you will:

• Lead group-wide planning cycles – forecasts, year-end outlook, budget, 5-year business plan and quarterly risk reporting.
• Develop clear financial narratives, providing analytical insight including reconciliations, scenario modelling and capacity schedules.
• Constructively challenge divisional partners, producing concise, insight-driven briefing papers for leadership.
• Prepare and present outputs to the Executive Committee and investors.
• Identify and implement improvements to planning processes, driving standardisation and tool adoption.
• Provide analytical support to external parties such as auditors, banks and consultants.
• Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects for senior stakeholders.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/CA).
• Strong FP&A experience within a large, complex, contract-driven organisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating complex information into clear insights.
• Proven ability to lead process improvements and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.
