Financial Accountant Permanent

Cedar is recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant to join a newly restructured Finance team within an established property company in the South East. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvements and compliance with financial controls within the department and oversee the deliverance of finance services.

Rate: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum

Location: South East

Hybrid Pattern: 2-3 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare the quarterly and annual statutory accounts.
• Oversee the timely delivery of interim and final audits.
• Monitor monthly intercompany accounts, group control and group investment reconciliations and update a statutory account schedule accordingly.
• Manage the deliverance of all regulatory returns.
• Brief the Management and Audit & Risk committee on potential risks.
• Utilise Excel and in-house systems to maintain accurate data.
• Assist Senior Finance professionals within the department with monthly control account reconciliations.
• Line manage an Assistant Financial Accountant.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience of regulatory financial returns and filings.
• Previous experience within a large, complex organisation with multiple subsidiaries.
• Excellent systems skills including Advanced.
