Finance Manager Interim NEW

Cedar is partnered with a fast-growing, PE-backed financial services business to appoint a Finance Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract. The role pays £75,000 to £85,000 and is based in the City of London, with three days per week in the office.

The finance function is continuing to evolve alongside the wider business, with a strong focus on improving reporting, controls, processes and overall efficiency.

The role sits within a high-calibre team and offers broad exposure across finance, commercial and operational stakeholders.

The Opportunity

The Finance Manager will take ownership of a broad range of reporting, control and statutory responsibilities, while managing and developing a small finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting across multiple entities
• Leading month-end close and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Overseeing statutory accounts and supporting the external audit process
• Managing and developing a small team
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activity
• Reviewing complex accounting matters and ensuring appropriate treatment
• Working closely with wider finance and operational teams on key projects
• Strengthening financial controls, reporting processes and governance
• Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes
• Producing clear analysis and supporting senior finance stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Strong financial reporting and control background
• Experience within a complex, multi-entity organisation
• Good technical accounting knowledge
• Experience managing statutory accounts and audit processes
• Previous team management experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable improving processes within a fast-moving environment
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
