Team size varies hugely depending on the complexity of the business – from a single standalone Treasury hire, up to teams of around 30 in the largest, most complex organisations. As a rule, the more complex the company, the bigger the Treasury function, and the more senior the reporting line: in complex businesses the Group Treasurer typically reports into the CFO, in more straightforward set-ups into the FD, and in the most basic structures into the FC.
