Exclusive role – Financial Controller – PE backed Renewable Energy – Edinburgh (hybrid working – 3 days in) – c.£80k + 15% bonus + 10% pension + Flex Fund

A newly created, meaty FC role for a new venture in Clean Energy Technology.

Backed by a global infrastructure investor there are substantial funds in place following the successful sale of a large asset, with this new venture splintering off a big player in the Renewable Energy space, to play a crucial role in the decarbonisation of the UK’s electricity market.

You’ll be joining the business as they close on funding for a c.£700M construction project – seeing it from build phase through to operational phase, with the role expanding and transforming over time – giving you plenty of exciting projects to work on for several years.

Reporting to the CFO you will have ownership for the end-to-end financial management for this substantial project and support the CFO with reporting to investors. The role will oversee the Fixed Asset Accounting, Business Planning & Forecasting, Treasury, Tax and Transaction Processing – including P2P and O2C … as well as support on strategic initiatives such as building 3 statement models for transactions.

To be successful you will need:

• A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with PQE
• Fixed Assets experience is essential – in order to support the ERP set up and system to record fixed assets
• Broad experience across Finance and an understanding of Transaction Processing
• A commercial mindset – able to partner senior stakeholders and investors, and keen to support
