Description
Cedar have partnered with a successful specialist project-based consultancy business who are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join their busy finance team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience processing day-to-day transactions, supporting month-end reconciliations, and assisting senior accountants with audits and other finance projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting skills, work closely with experienced professionals, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end reconciliations and financial reporting
• Process day-to-day financial transactions, including debit and credit cards
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of trial balances
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data
• Work closely with senior finance on audits and accounting projects

Profile / Candidate Requirements

• Actively studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Comfortable working in the office 5 days per week, hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm (no flexibility)
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Understanding of debits, credits, and trial balance processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn
