Salary: Up to £55,000

Hybrid working: 3 days per week

Cedar is supporting a well-known retail brand based in Central London who are seeking a Qualified Management Accountant with previous retail experience.

This opportunity offers the chance to join a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment in a highly visible finance role, providing excellent exposure to operations, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders. It is ideally suited to a qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to step into a broad, hands-on position with genuine business partnering responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end reporting for stock and related balances (COGS, stock on hand, provisions, goods in transit)
• Ensure accuracy of stockholding costs including warehousing, freight, carrier, packaging, and duties
• Prepare monthly cost analysis with variance commentary vs budget and prior year
• Complete weekly sales, COGS, and commission reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, capitalised freight)
• Partner with logistics, retail operations, and commercial finance teams
• Support budgeting, forecasting, system integrations, and year-end audit processes

Requirements

• Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA
• Prior retail experience is essential
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP)
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines independently
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, proactive approach
