Group Accountant Interim NEW

Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with a leading PE-backed Real Estate business to secure an Interim Group Accountant, based in Central London. The role is a 6-month contract, offering a competitive day rate of £450 – £600.

The Company
This growing Real Estate firm has recently expanded its portfolio and continues to make strategic investments, establishing itself as a market leader within the PE-backed Real Estate sector.

The Role
As Interim Group Accountant, you will:

• Prepare and review consolidated group accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the group month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Support external audits and act as a key contact for auditors, ensuring timely submission of statutory accounts.
• Maintain and enhance group reporting processes, including the use of OneSource for consolidation and financial reporting.
• Analyse financial performance across subsidiaries and provide insights to support senior management decision-making.
• Assist in preparation of management accounts, including variance analysis, balance sheet review, and cash flow monitoring.

Your Profile
You will ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, CA or equivalent).
• Previous industry-based experience in financial and management accounting processes.
• Experience using OneSource is essential.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience managing relationships and working closely with other accounting teams.
• Prior interim / contract experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Prior experience in the Real Estate / Property sector and PE-backed businesses is beneficial but not required.
• Availability to start immediately or at short notice.

Compensation & Benefits
This contract role offers a competitive day rate of £450 – £600, with the opportunity to join a dynamic, high-growth PE-backed business.

The office is located in Central London, within walking distance of multiple tube and rail stations. The team typically attend the office 4 days per week.
