Interim IT Commercial Contracts Manager Interim NEW

Cedar are supporting a Local Authority, based in the Midlands, who are looking to hire an Interim IT Commercial Contracts Manager on a contract that will run for 6 months (potential to extend). This role will operate INSIDE IR35, offering a Day Rate of £500 up to £600. This role will operate on a Hybrid Working arrangement with the requirement to be on-site 2 days per week. The client is looking for someone to start ASAP however given the time of year it’s likely that the role will commence early January 2026.

The successful candidate will support 2 key programmes and requires strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder-management capability within a public-sector environment. The successful candidate will lead contract finalisation and negotiation for an IT procurement (project 1) currently at award stage and additionally manage complex commercial and contractual activities for a Mobilising System (project 2); IT procurement expertise is essential and knowledge about Mobilising systems or similar control centre systems will be desirable. The focus of the role will be to drive value through effective contract management, SRM, and support to implementation activities as well as manage challenging supplier relationships and internal stakeholders.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

• experience working a similar role in the UK Public Sector
• strong background supporting contracts/procurement in the IT category
• strong contract management experience, experience with complex technical contracts is required
• experience working on ESN/ESMCP/Mobilisation System/Control Room contracts is highly desirable
