Interim Financial Accountant Interim

Cedar is currently partnered with an international Media business to support with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant based in Central London. This is a 6-month contract role offering £65,000 + benefits.

The Role

As Interim Financial Accountant, you will:

• Assist in preparing financial statements under UK GAAP, including GAAP adjustment entries and statutory entries.
• Prepare reconciliations between statutory and management accounts for board presentation.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal/external auditors and delegate audit requests as needed.
• Collaborate with the internal corporation tax team to prepare supporting tax schedules.
• Handle ad-hoc statutory reporting requests from the business.
• Manage Balance Sheet and statutory financial reporting for subsidiaries.
• Work closely on Balance Sheet management across all agencies within the company structure.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
• Have a practice-trained background with strong technical proficiency and IFRS / UK GAAP knowledge. US GAAP experience is desirable but not essential.
• Post-qualified experience in industry within a Financial Accounting or similar role.
• The salary of £65,000 per year represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
• Availability to start immediately.
