Interim Financial Controller – PE-backed Agritech Business
Cedar is currently partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed agritech business to secure an Interim Financial Controller for a 4-6 month contract. The role is based near Luton, offering a competitive day rate of £475-575 per day (outside IR35).

The Role
As the Interim Financial Controller, you will:

• Lead a comprehensive review of balance sheet reconciliations, assessing existing documentation and addressing historic issues.
• Conduct deep dives into legacy financial data to ensure accuracy and resolve longstanding discrepancies.
• Establish and embed robust processes to strengthen balance sheet controls and support sustainable financial management.
• Overhaul and streamline general ledger processes, ensuring efficient data management and integrity.
• Develop and document clear month-end procedures to standardise and improve team operations.

Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Strong experience in delivering analytical reviews of legacy data to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
• A proven track record of improving financial controls and processes within a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience in managing and resolving complex accounting challenges, including balance sheet reconciliations and process optimisation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering results.

Compensation & Benefits
