Category Manager – IT Permanent

The Business:

A prestigious global advisory/outsourcing business

Location – Central London (1/2 days a week in the office)

Salary – c.£65k – £75k + Car Allowance + Wider Package

Key Responsibilities:

• Categories covered: IT (SaaS, IT Services, Cloud/Infrastructure, etc.)
• Spend £70-£100m+
• You will be expected to develop and implement category strategy as well as deliver key projects in a hands-on role
• Some key projects on the horizon include: IT Vendor Management capability is a focus and an area in transformation. This role will include supporting on maturing this area and driving continuous improvement activity with contracts in life
• Whilst the Procurement team have some good buy-in, they are still going on their procurement maturity journey. As such they need someone who can continue to build strong stakeholder relationships and continue to drive procurement’s reputation forward

Key Skills:

• Must have strong examples of driving savings and added value within the IT category area, ideally a specialist
• Experience within IT Vendor Management and driving commercial value out of contracts in life
• Someone who knows what good looks like in terms of procurement ‘best practice’
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Comfortable presenting and interacting with senior leadership to C-Suite level
• MCIPS/CIPS/Degree would be useful but not essential
