Working Pattern: Hybrid (1-2 day per week in the office)

Our client is a global sportsbetting brand and are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence and Analytics Specialist to join their Finance BI team. This team is pivotal in providing financial figures used throughout the business, covering all streams and geographies within the group. This role will focus primarily on the US division.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will develop and deliver a coherent business intelligence strategy, ensuring financial metrics are accurately defined and consistently delivered. Key responsibilities include interpreting financial terms into data definitions, developing sustainable solutions, and working closely with data and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Definitions: Understand and build data definitions behind financial metrics, ensuring consistent use throughout the group.
• Business Liaison: Act as a key link between the Data team and the business, cultivating relationships to understand and consider all viewpoints.
• Onboarding Brands: Contribute to onboarding additional brands into the Finance Data Delivery Model, including building and orchestrating revenue files.
• Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance and cross-training to other team members.
• Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into specifications for data warehouse design and configuration.
• Compliance: Liaise with core Finance teams to ensure statutory requirements are met and provide information for external auditors as necessary.
• Alteryx Server Rollout: Assist with the rollout of Alteryx Server across Finance teams, building and streamlining workflows.
• ETL Automation: Use ETL tools to automate data storage and streamline processes.
• Best Practices: Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes.

Skills & Experience:

• Educational Background: Strong educational background.
• BI Reporting: Experience with BI reporting and data visualization solutions (Tableau expertise is a plus).
• Financial Understanding: Understanding of financial terms and definitions.
• Interest in Sports and Betting: An interest in sports and betting.
• SQL Proficiency: Skilled at writing SQL for modeling and querying relational databases, ensuring best practice.
• ETL Tools: Knowledge of ETL tools.
• Python Knowledge: Experience using Python.
• Professional Approach: Professional and positive approach, good time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Proactivity and Innovation: Ability to identify process improvements and assist management in implementation.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, essential for interacting within the team and the wider business.
• Flexibility: Enjoys working in a frequently changing and fast-paced environment.
