Head of Finance Interim

Cedar is currently partnered with a venture capital-backed Consumer business to secure an Interim Head of Finance, based in Central London. This is an interim role offering a £650 – £800 per day (Inside IR35) and the opportunity to shape the financial future of a fast-scaling, innovative business.

The Company
This VC-backed Consumer business is experiencing significant commercial success, have a strong brand identity and loyal customer base. Currently pursuing Series C fundraising, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader to join their London-based team.

The Role
As Interim Head of Finance, you will:

• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
• Lead month-end close processes, reconciling all transactions efficiently.
• Drive technical reporting compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
• Support FP&A functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide commercial financial insights that drive business growth.
• Manage and mentor the operational finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Profile
You will ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably within consumer goods or ecommerce.
• Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS.
• A proven track record of process improvement and financial controls.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
• Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
• Previous experience within interim roles is desired but not essential.
• The day rate of £650 – £800 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
