Role: Experienced Payroll Assistant

Hours: 9am until 5:30pm (37.5 Hours)

Hybrid: 2 Days in the office, 3 Days from home

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant who will handle payroll processing, month-end reconciliations and collaborate closely with the accounts payable team.

What You’ll Do:

– Process and collate payroll data with precision and efficiency

– Support month-end payroll reconciliations, ensuring accurate financials

– Conduct monthly pension analysis and manage healthcare memberships

– Prepare clear, accurate payroll reports and deliver them on time

– Resolve employee queries and assist with payroll discrepancies

– Coordinate payroll approvals and oversee funding instructions

– Work with accounts payable to process invoices and payments smoothly

– Respond to government inquiries and assist with international employment verifications

What We’re Looking For:

– Previous experience within a similar role is essential.

– The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor management

– Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables)

– 5+ GCSEs or equivalent education

– Solid understanding of payroll compliance and legislation

– Previous experience with external payroll providers
