This £multibillion revenue infrastructure business enjoys a market leading position, both locally and overseas and has seen YoY profits soar. With major capex projects planned for the next 5 years, this impressive organisation is at the forefront of driving sustainable change throughout the industry.

As part of the ongoing growth plan, the new position of Senior Finance Business partner has been created to partner Commercial and Operations teams, driving growth and managing the significant capex programmes.

The roles includes:

• Provide commercially orientated financial leadership across a significant division, partnering senior commercial and operational management
• Key financial advisor on business growth, playing a critical role in driving performance against strategic and tactical initiatives
• Delivering insight, analysis and recommendations in relation to growth assessment and improvement, financial sustainability and investment cases
• Business case and decision support for key initiatives and capex opportunities, ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives
• Use of data/analysis tools to maximise the quality and depth of analysis undertaken, and play a key role in influencing and prioritising further developments across the business
• Coaching and developing a small team of finance business partners, ensuring clarity of purpose, development plans are in place and a collaborative and supportive team environment is sustained

Required candidate profile:

• Significant experience of driving improved business insight across a sizeable commercial organisation
• Demonstrable examples of when delivered tangible value to an organisation’s bottom line
• In-depth experience of partnering senior commercial stakeholders, having influenced decision making and ensured a robust relationship with the business
• A natural sense of ‘why?’, balanced with a solution orientated approach to delivery
• High level of intellectual horsepower and emotional intelligence
• Energy, drive and ambition
• First rate communication and influencing skills
• A background of operating at pace within a highly commercial and large-scale organisation
• Ability to work in Coventry 3 days per week
