US Financial Accountant, Crypto Tech, Remote Role (East Coast America), up to $75k + bonus

I am working with a £250m t/o Crypto Technology company that are redefining the world of sustainable and carbon neutral Crypto mining. Alongside this, the organisation provides technology and infrastructure to areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Big Data Analytics.

This business has been through exponential growth with their revenue seeing 100x growth since 2020. This role would have ownership over the financial accounting for both their US entity.

This dynamic, high growth scale up have operations across the globe with hubs in the UK, Germany and Sweden to name a few. They have recently invested into a new ERP system and looking for someone who is passionate about adding value and implementing quick change in a business that is open to suggestions.

Reporting directly into the very impressive US Controller this is a perfect role for a technically strong accountant keen to join an exciting, well invested Crypto Tech business.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger:
  • Process and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure regular reconciliation of bank and cash accounts.
  • Prepare and adjust journal entries as required.
  • Prepare and post monthly expense accruals, prepayments, deferred revenues, and expenses.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Treasury and FP&A, to maintain accurate records and provide accounting support.
• Accounts Receivable/Payable:
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of all customers and vendors in the accounting system.
  • Review income and expense reports to validate accounting records.
  • Reconcile all direct debit vendor invoices to ensure consistency with expense reports.
  • Ensure expense reports are properly coded with the correct General Ledger account numbers and cost/profit centres.
  • Ensure invoices are processed promptly and that all expenses are approved in line with the Group

• General Duties:
  • Maintain fixed assets and inventory records, including monthly depreciation and reconciliation of the asset register with GL accounts.
  • Support external advisors in preparing government filings such as VAT returns, EU Sales Listings, and other statutory reports as required.
  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, collaborating internally and externally with local advisors and auditors.

Essentials

• Experience with SAP 4 Hana
• Experience as a junior bookkeeper/accountant (formal qualifications are not required, but it would be advantageous if you are working towards an accounting degree or qualification).
• Eager to learn, with an appetite for hands-on coaching.
• Interest in the cryptocurrency industry and the technology sector
