VAT Manager – Real Estate Group

London (Hybrid) – £65,000 – £75,000 + Up to 20% Bonus + Other Excellent Benefits

I am seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join this exciting PE backed Real Estate group. This role is crucial in managing all VAT compliance and advisory matters across the group and will be working closely with the head of tax.

You will oversee the end-to-end VAT return process, work on VAT optimisation, and ensure robust compliance throughout their systems.

Additionally, you’ll provide VAT expertise on complex transactions and projects, particularly within the Real Estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage VAT compliance for approximately 30 VAT registrations, including VAT groups
• Oversee VAT journals, reconciliations, and support the annual audit process
• Address VAT complexities in land and property transactions
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies across VAT operations
• Support the Tax Team with risk management, governance, and HMRC inquiries

What are they looking for?

• CTA or equivalent qualification
• Extensive VAT experience, ideally within the Real Estate sector
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT and experience with ERP systems
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
