Financial Controller c£80,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Full-time, Permanent | Occasional travel to Brighton

Cedar has been retained by an established, high-growth health PE Backed wellness organisation who are seeking a commercially astute and hands-on Financial Controller to support its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, this high-impact, visible role, you’ll take full ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, and controls, with a clear progression path to Finance Director.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, lead the month-end close, and support the business through its next stage of growth, including potential M&A activity and a future change of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
• Production of the monthly finance pack, meeting internal deadlines
• Monitoring actual performance against budget and providing insightful variance analysis
• Support the CFO in delivering the annual budget and long-term financial strategy
• Collaborate with functional heads to build detailed, bottom-up budgets
• Drive improvements across processes, controls, and financial governance
• Coordinate the year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts
• Oversee tax compliance and liaison with HMRC
• Manage and develop a small finance team, including management accounting and payroll
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team
• Provide financial support on ad hoc commercial projects, change initiatives and potential acquisitions

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA qualified auditor from a top 10 practice
• 3+ years post qualified experience in a controllership or senior reporting role
• Strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen and leadership skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills; ERP experience advantageous
