Internal Audit Manager | PE-Backed Global Industrial Manufacturer | London (Open to remote working)

A private equity-backed, multinational industrial manufacturer is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to lead and develop its audit programme across a complex, international footprint.

The business is in an active phase of growth and value creation. Internal audit plays a visible part in this, giving the Board, the Audit Committee and the sponsor confidence in the control environment and supporting performance across operations.

The role

• Own the risk-based internal audit plan across multiple sites and jurisdictions, covering financial, operational and compliance risk
• Lead audits end to end, from scoping and fieldwork through to reporting and tracking remediation
• Review manufacturing-specific areas such as inventory, procurement, supply chain, capex and production cost accounting
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership, the CFO and the Audit Committee
• Partner with site and regional finance teams to strengthen controls and embed a culture of accountability
• Coordinate with external auditors and any co-sourced or outsourced audit resource
• Support the sponsor’s reporting requirements and ad-hoc reviews, including due diligence and integration work where needed

About you

• Qualified accountant or auditor (ACA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent)
• Experience in internal audit, ideally gained in a practice firm and/or an industrial, manufacturing or other asset-heavy business
• Experience of a multinational or multi-site environment; PE-backed experience is a strong advantage
• Strong stakeholder management, with the credibility to challenge constructively at senior level
• Clear, concise report writing and presentation skills
