About the business

Our client is a fast-growing, PE-backed media group with a portfolio of well-loved brands and a growing audience across digital, video and live channels. With investor backing and an ambitious growth and M&A agenda, this is a pivotal time to join the finance function.

The role

As Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll be the commercial voice of finance for the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across content, sales, marketing and operations, turning numbers into insight that shapes decisions. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will:

• Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance, challenge assumptions and support strategic decision-making
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for your areas, with a sharp eye on revenue, margin and cash
• Produce clear, insightful monthly management reporting and board and investor packs, with a view that goes beyond the numbers
• Build and evaluate business cases for content investment, new products, pricing and cost-saving initiatives
• Analyse content and programme profitability, advertising and subscription revenue, and audience-driven KPIs
• Support the PE sponsor’s reporting requirements, including KPI tracking, covenant monitoring and ad hoc analysis
• Contribute to M&A activity, integration and due diligence where required
• Continuously improve reporting, forecasting models and finance processes, bringing the wider team along

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Significant post-qualification experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role, ideally within media, entertainment, marketing, digital or subscription businesses
• Experience in a PE-backed or similarly high-growth, investor-led environment is strongly preferred
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced Excel and confidence working with BI tools
• A confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence at senior and board level
• Commercially curious, proactive and comfortable operating at pace in a changing environment
• Understanding of media revenue models (advertising, subscriptions, licensing, sponsorship) is a real advantage
