Senior Procurement Consultant – Public Sector Permanent NEW

Cedar are supporting a specialist Procurement Consultancy, based in Derbyshire, who are growing and looking to hire a Senior Procurement Consultant to support their Public Sector clients. This is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary up to £65,000 per annum plus a range of benefits. This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectations to be on-site c3 days per week – this role may also include occasional travel to clients sites for key meetings.

Reporting into the Procurement Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading client-facing procurement support for clients in the Public Sector. This will include managing end to end tender activity, reviewing T&Cs, mapping procurement processes, developing specifications, advising on market engagement and delivering soft market testing. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, value for money and delivering confident commercial advice to key stakeholders and clients engaged.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

• Experience working a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. a role in Procurement, Category, Commercial and/or Contract Management
• Experience running end-to-end Procurements in line with Public Sector Procurement Regulations
• PA23 trained (required) and ideally CIPS qualified (advantageous)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
