Cedar is supporting a private equity-backed business undergoing a significant period of operational and commercial development to appoint an Interim FP&A Lead on an initial contract basis.

The organisation operates across a complex, multi-entity environment and has experienced sustained growth through a combination of expansion initiatives, customer growth and strategic investment activity. Finance is now playing an increasingly central role in supporting performance visibility, planning capability and wider business decision-making.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to improve visibility, challenge assumptions and strengthen the quality of reporting and forecasting across the organisation.

Responsibilities are likely to include:

• Enhancing forecasting and planning processes across the business
• Improving visibility around operational and commercial performance
• Supporting development of more meaningful KPI and management reporting
• Providing insight around profitability, performance trends and business activity
• Supporting strategic initiatives, including investment and integration-related workstreams
• Assisting with board and investor reporting requirements
• Helping create greater consistency across reporting, analysis and performance measurement
• Partnering leadership teams to support improved commercial decision-making

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:

• Strong commercial FP&A experience within fast-paced or evolving environments
• Previous exposure to investor-backed, acquisitive or change-oriented businesses
• Experience operating across operationally complex or multi-entity organisations
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
• Ability to engage credibly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• A hands-on approach combined with strong commercial judgement and adaptability

This role is expected to run for an initial 3-6 months with a hybrid working model and occasional travel requirements.
