Finance Manager Permanent NEW

Cedar is partnering with a venture-backed technology scale-up to recruit a Finance Manager for a pivotal role at the heart of the business. Working closely with the CFO, you’ll take ownership of core finance activities while providing commercial insight that supports strategic decision-making and the company’s continued growth.

This is a broad, hands-on opportunity suited to someone who enjoys balancing financial control with business partnering in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading day-to-day finance operations and owning the month-end close process
• Producing financial analysis, management reporting, and insights for senior leadership
• Developing financial models, dashboards, and performance reporting
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and project-level financial tracking
• Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes, and strengthening financial controls
• Driving improvements across finance systems, processes, and ways of working
• Partnering with teams across the business, including payroll and people-related finance activities
• Acting as a trusted finance partner to the CFO and wider leadership team, helping to inform key business decisions

What they’re looking for:

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a scale-up, or high-growth business
• Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial acumen
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models and reports
• Confidence managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered

This is a hybrid position, with two days per week in the office, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a business with an exciting growth trajectory.
