Management Accountant

Gambling Sector, East London

£50,000 – £55,000 + bonus

Hybrid working 2 days in the Office

Cedar has partnered with a leading gambling business to recruit a skilled Management Accountant to join their busy team.

The successful candidate will have strong management accounting experience, with expertise in producing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. They will be commercially aware, confident with budgeting and forecasting, and ideally have experience within a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and meet all reporting deadlines.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances promptly.
• Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Support annual budget preparation and audit deliverables.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial insight to inform business decisions.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs.

Requirements:

• Part or fully qualified finance professional (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
• Previous experience working in retail is preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ management accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
• Experience with multi-entity reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Commercially aware, results-driven, and able to work at pace
• Oracle experience is desirable but not essential
