We are exclusively partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed technology business entering an exciting new phase of scale.

Backed by a well-regarded mid-market investor and working with an impressive portfolio of blue-chip clients, the business has built a strong market position and is now focused on accelerating growth, strengthening infrastructure and enhancing commercial performance.

This is a pivotal hire.

The Financial Controller will act as a true right-hand to the CFO, playing a central role in professionalising and scaling the finance function within a dynamic, ambitious environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of financial reporting and core finance operations, while driving process improvement and building scalable infrastructure. You will manage a small team and partner closely with stakeholders across the business.

This role offers genuine breadth, combining operational control, commercial insight and strategic exposure in a PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and ensure accurate, timely reporting
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital
• Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and finance KPIs
• Deliver analysis and insights to support decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to drive performance
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and audit readiness
• Support board and investor reporting
• Lead systems and process improvements

Person Specification

• Qualified Financial Controller with a hands-on approach
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth and/or PE-backed environment
• Commercially minded with strong business acumen
• Able to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail
• Confident working closely with senior stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
