Group Accountant Permanent

Group Accountant, PE backed Infrastructure, London, c£65k + 20% bonus

We are working with an international, fast-growing infrastructure business operating in the digital and data space who are looking to hire a Group Accountant to strengthen group reporting and consolidations.

The organisation develops, owns and operates large-scale, mission-critical assets globally, supporting enterprise and hyperscale customers.

This is the perfect role for a technically capable accountant who enjoys working at group level in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment and wants exposure to complex consolidations, audit and reporting in a genuinely global business.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Accountant will support group consolidation and financial reporting across the business, with involvement spanning month-end, audit, systems, technical accounting and process improvement.

The Opportunity:

• Support group month-end close, consolidation and financial reporting
• Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet analysis with clear commentary
• Manage complex intercompany and consolidation eliminations
• Provide technical accounting input across the group
• Prepare sections of the annual report and statutory accounts
• Work closely with external auditors
• Support holding company accounts
• Assist with development and improvement of reporting systems and processes

What we’re looking for

• ACA / CA (or equivalent internationally recognised qualification)
• Experience in group consolidations (multi-currency highly desirable)
• Background in audit or technically focused reporting roles preferred
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS essential, US GAAP desirable)
• Experience working in an international or cross-border environment
• Detail-oriented, methodical and quality-driven
• Confident communicator able to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting
