Role Summary

The O2C & P2P Automation Specialist will lead the assessment, design, and implementation of automation solutions across Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes within a global Shared Services Centre environment. This role focuses on resolving operational issues, improving process stability, and deploying scalable automation (including RPA, workflow tools, and intelligent automation) to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across multiple offshore locations.

You will act as a bridge between Finance, IT, global process owners, and the SSC operations teams to identify root causes, optimise processes, and drive automation that delivers measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Automation Assessment

• Conduct deep-dive diagnostics across O2C and P2P processes to identify automation gaps, pain points, failure demand and non-value-add activities.
• Map current-state processes and evaluate automation maturity across global and offshore teams.
• Build business cases for automation improvements (RPA, workflow, OCR, machine learning, user-tools).

Automation Design & Deployment

• Lead the design, build, and deployment of automation solutions across O2C and P2P.
• Partner with internal IT and third-party vendors to select and configure the appropriate technologies (UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, ServiceNow, SAP/Oracle automation modules, etc.).
• Ensure automation is embedded into upstream and downstream processes, not siloed.

Global Process Ownership & Standardisation

• Align global process owners around standardised end-to-end process flows.
• Develop automation-ready standard operating procedures (SOPs) for offshore teams.
• Reduce exceptions by identifying root-cause issues across data, master data, compliance, policy, or system configuration.

Change Management & Adoption

• Train SSC teams and stakeholders to adopt, monitor, and maintain automation tools.
• Lead change impact analysis and create adoption frameworks for global regions.
• Establish KPIs to track automation performance, ROI, and operational improvements.

Continuous Improvement

• Create a roadmap for long-term automation and process optimisation across O2C and P2P.
• Work with local and offshore teams to reduce manual intervention, rework, and inefficiencies.
