Cedar has partnered with a fast growing £150 million turnover consumer business to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the finance function, shape strategy, and drive financial excellence in a business experiencing significant growth. You will have the chance to make a tangible impact and influence decision-making at the highest level.

The successful candidate will take ownership of financial control, streamline processes, and provide strategic commercial insight. Working closely with the Finance Director and CFO, you will manage day-to-day operations and deliver accurate, insightful reporting to senior stakeholders ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate weekly KPIs and monthly management accounts
• Prepare clear commentary and reports for senior leadership and the board
• Provide financial insight to support commercial decisions, budgeting and cost control
• Lead and support a small team handling AP, AR and cash management
• Manage all revenue reporting, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate reconciliation
• Oversee the end-to-end audit process and ensure statutory compliance
• Support the rollout of new financial systems, including PO and ERP platforms
• Continuously review and enhance financial controls and internal processes

Person Specification

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 3+ years post-qualification experience
• Proven FC experience, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth business
• Experience managing and developing a finance team
• Strong technical accounting skills, with confidence managing multiple revenue streams
• Clear and effective communicator, able to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders
• Proven track record of implementing and improving financial systems and processes
• Thrives in a small, hands-on finance function, taking ownership and delivering results
• Experience in consumer, retail, hospitality, events, or other operationally dynamic sectors is advantageous
