Procurement Manager Permanent NEW

Cedar are exclusively working with a Government Ministerial Department who are looking to hire a Procurement Manager. The starting salary on offer for this role is £48,750 and has a range of great benefits which include CIPS Funding (if required), 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays – this can rise to 30 after 5 years’ service), Civil Service Pension and a range of other perks. The role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to go on-site 2 days per week at the office in London and occasional team meeting (1 day per month) at offices based in Leeds. This is an exciting role offering great development opportunities as well as variety to your workload across Procurement, Sourcing and Contract Management. Candidates applying must be able to obtain SC Clearance in order to commence this role.

Reporting into the Procurement Lead, the successful candidate will support a wide range of procurements covering areas such as Corporate Services, Professional Services and DDaT ensuring compliance is continually achieved and value for money can be delivered. You will be responsible for managing and delivering end to end procurement projects, in line with the Procurement Act 2023, using Government Frameworks or other various routes to market. A key part of this role will be stakeholder engagement and ensuring that you develop robust commercial strategies that will deliver effective contractual solutions, manage commercial risk and provide value for money.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

• experience working a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace – i.e. a role in Procurement, Category Management, Sourcing or Commercial
• experience running end to end Procurements is required
• experience of using Government Frameworks – use of CCS frameworks would be advantageous
• strong stakeholder management and communication skills
