Interim Part-Time VAT Manager, Remote! Interim NEW

A great opportunity for an indirect tax professional to take on a flexible, part-time role (2-3 days per week). You can spread your hours across 3, 4 or 5 days and dependant on your preference. The role can be fully remote, with just one day in the London office every other Wednesday.

You will be the first point of contact for all VAT-related queries across our business units in the UK, Ireland, and UAE. Whilst compliance is handled by finance teams within the 10 business units, you will review their work, provide technical oversight, and ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Nearly all business units are partially exempt, so advisory expertise is required although they use advisors when needed.

Key Responsibilities include

• Review VAT compliance prepared by local finance teams.
• Support and oversee VAT processes for partially exempt businesses.
• Monitor, review, and update VAT recovery and PESMs.
• Advise on how changes in tax legislation may impact business units.
• Support the Head of Group Tax in ensuring tax strategy and policies are adhered to.
