Cedar is currently partnered with a global, PE-backed Logistics & Infrastructure Group to appoint an Interim Finance Business Partner to support one of their largest UK operational divisions. This is a highly commercial role focused on driving insight, profitability, and performance. Offered on an interim basis, the role pays a competitive day rate and requires 3 days per week onsite in Central London.

The Company
This international business delivers essential logistics and infrastructure services across more than ten countries, generating over £2bn in revenue. With private equity backing and major transformation underway, the UK business is central to group performance. Finance is deeply embedded within operations and plays a key role in decision-making and performance improvement.

The Role
This role partners directly with a major UK operating division and offers genuine commercial ownership. Sitting alongside regional and operational leaders, the focus is on driving insight and supporting decision-making. Responsibilities include:

• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and commercial performance reviews
• Delivering data-driven insight on revenue, margin, and cost base
• Supporting investment appraisals and commercial decision support
• Challenging assumptions and identifying levers for performance improvement
• Acting as a trusted adviser to senior operational stakeholders

This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded finance professional with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Your Profile

• A qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / CA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, and commercial analysis
• Confident influencing senior stakeholders and presenting financial insight
• Strong understanding of business drivers and operational performance metrics
• Sector background flexible; exposure to large or multi-entity organisations is beneficial
