This global business services company is a market leader in several geographical and service areas. With an IPO planned within the next c18months, this highly successful business is going through a positive period of change, cementing its market leading position.

It is now seeking a talented Financial Controller to 1) Own financial control for a £900m revenue division, and 2) Business partner a £400m business unit, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the business unit commercial management team.

The role includes:

• Manage and develop the control environment for the division
• Delivering a fit for purpose control environment to underpin all divisional financial accounting, reporting and risk management operations
• Identify risks and opportunities to be included in regular updates to FD/MD liaising authoritatively with Group and Region Finance teams on all accounting matters
• Driving efficient, timely and controlled month end and year end accounting processes – ensuring all parts of the division are accounting in accordance with Group standards and timelines
• Oversee the Business Plan, budget and forecast processes; supporting the Regional President, divisional FD and BU MDs to set financial targets
• Delivering smooth processes; setting realistic timetables to meet Regional reporting obligations, providing relevant and consistent financial information, arranging management reviews and ensuring approved plans are appropriately submitted and available in BPC for financial reporting
• Compiling regional budget and forecast packs for presentation at Regional review meetings plus additional analysis as required.
• Liaising with external auditors and coordinating Finance teams to deliver a smooth audit process coordinating the production and sign-off of stat accounts with support from FSSC (Financial Shared Services Centre) to meet Group deadlines
• Business partner to Regional Business Unit and Strategic Accounts BUs and Operation teams, supporting core financial processes
• Understanding of financial impact of annual PI programme (for Ops to deliver and monitor through tracker)
• Develop monthly financial reporting for the division, ensuring business performance is clearly articulated
• Oversee US GAAP compliance to ensure accurate reporting

Essential candidate requirements:

• ACA
• Has worked within a large, matrix driven environment
• In-depth financial control experience
• Ability to consolidate financial information and translate into an added value story that aids business insight and performance
• Comfortable within a changing, project driven environment
• Has managed a team
• Strong technical accounting and controls mindset
• First class communication skills
