Cedar is supporting a Series D backed, PE scale-up entering a critical phase of its growth journey, as it builds out its finance function from first principles. This is a rare opportunity to step into a newly created FP&A leadership role where nothing is inherited, instead, you’ll be instrumental in designing the planning infrastructure, building the reporting architecture, and shaping the financial narrative that will support the business through rapid scaling.

The role will include the below.

• Partnering closely with senior leadership, you’ll own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, while developing scenario models that underpin strategic decision-making. You’ll lead the monthly performance cycle, deliver clear and insightful reporting, and build investor-grade materials that articulate performance, growth, and capital efficiency.
• Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in capital allocation decisions, investment modelling, and broader strategic finance initiatives, supporting everything from expansion plans to financing structures.
• The role also offers the chance to build a modern, AI-enabled FP&A function from the ground up, including selecting tooling, defining data architecture, and embedding automation into forecasting and reporting.
• They’re looking for someone who combines strong technical FP&A capability with a builder mindset, comfortable operating in ambiguity, partnering at the highest levels, and translating complex operational drivers into clear financial insight.
