Commercial Finance Director Permanent NEW

Cedar is supporting high growth a PE backed business to appoint a Commercial Finance Director. This role will play a key role in driving commercial performance, operational decision making, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a strategic finance partner to the divisional MD and senior leadership team
• Driving commercial insight, performance analysis, and business decision support
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Developing KPI reporting and improving visibility around business performance
• Supporting pricing, margin optimisation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Partnering closely with operational leaders to influence performance and growth
• Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
• Supporting strategic projects, investment decisions, and M&A activity where required
• Ensuring robust financial controls and governance within a fast-paced environment

Candidate profile

• A commercially minded Finance Director with strong business partnering capability
• Experience operating within a large, multi-site or services-led environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Previous PE-backed experience would be advantageous, although not essential
