Finance Manager Interim NEW

Cedar is partnered with an investor-backed digital infrastructure business to appoint an Interim Finance Manager. This is an initial 6-month contract offering £475-£525 per day (Outside IR35), based in Central London with hybrid working.

Working closely with the Finance Director, this is a pivotal hands-on role within a lean and evolving finance function, supporting a business currently going through a significant growth and scaling phase.

The organisation is a high-growth, investor-backed digital infrastructure platform operating within a technically complex and rapidly evolving market.

The business is currently scaling its operations and delivery capability across multiple projects, with finance playing a key role in supporting reporting quality, operational visibility and wider business decision-making.

The Role

This role offers broad exposure across financial control, operational finance and business partnering within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst contributing to the ongoing development of reporting processes and controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely financial information
• Preparing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting performance analysis
• Supporting cashflow reporting, working capital monitoring and short-term forecasting activity
• Overseeing core transactional finance processes and supporting process efficiency improvements
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and project-related financial analysis
• Supporting the implementation and refinement of finance controls, reporting procedures and governance frameworks
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight across business activities
• Supporting wider finance improvement initiatives as the business continues to evolve

Your Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting and management reporting background
• Experience working within fast-moving, project-led or scaling environments
• Comfortable operating within lean teams and taking ownership of varied finance responsibilities
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented and commercially minded approach
• Able to work autonomously whilst building effective relationships across the business
• Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to operate effectively in changing environments
• Prior experience within infrastructure, technology, engineering or investor-backed businesses would be advantageous

Compensation & Working Arrangements

The day rate for this Interim Finance Manager role is £475-£525 per day (Outside IR35). The role is based in Central London with hybrid working. This is an initial 6-month assignment with potential for extension or longer-term progression.
