VAT Assistant Manager, Birmingham Permanent

An in-house role for an Assistant VAT Manager has arisen in a UK Headquartered Group based in Birmingham. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax you will have a mixed compliance and advisory role (roughly 50:50 split) and work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly VAT returns
• Providing advice and training as required to team members preparing VAT refund
• Supporting the business on any advice around VAT, CIS and SDLT
• Providing input on process improvement and working closely with the corporate tax team to help with compliance deadlines if / as needed

You will have a strong UK indirect tax background. The client is open to those coming from the profession or another in-house role. The Group has a really collaborative team and having someone with a similar mindset is really important. Please apply now for more information.
