Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, this is an exciting career opportunity for a VAT Manager to join a growing and ambitopus group. The role offers a unique chance to take full ownership of indirect tax responsibilities, managing both external advisors and internal processes. As the VAT Manager, you’ll oversee the outsourced indirect tax process, ensuring accuracy and compliance while focusing on opportunities for improvement. Your expertise in indirect tax will be crucial in identifying areas where enhanced processes can drive efficiency and add value to the business. This is a proactive role that goes beyond routine compliance, requiring you to engage with various internal teams, offer strategic advice, and ensure that tax processes align with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the VAT compliance process and VAT journals for the UK Group
  • Advising the business on any legislative changes and the impact on the business and implement any necessary changes or solutions.
  • Provide VAT technical expertise on projects and corporate transactions to ensure VAT recovery is optimised.
  • Support Tax Team with Tax Risk and Governance, including annual SAO and HMRC Business Risk Reviews, and dealing with HMRC enquiries

This is an exiting role where you can make a substantial difference to the business and tax team. You will need strong UK indirect tax knowledge and operating at AM or Manager level, experience or knowledge of the real estate sector would be advantageous. Please apply now for more information.
