Financial Accountant Permanent

Cedar is recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant to join a newly restructured Finance team within an established not-for-profit in the South East. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvements and compliance with financial controls within the department and oversee the deliverance of finance services.

Rate: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum

Location: South East

Hybrid Pattern: 2-3 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare the quarterly and annual statutory accounts.
• Oversee the timely delivery of interim and final audits.
• Monitor monthly intercompany accounts, group control and group investment reconciliations and update a statutory account schedule accordingly.
• Manage the deliverance of all regulatory returns.
• Brief the Management and Audit & Risk committee on potential risks.
• Utilise Excel and in-house systems to maintain accurate data.
• Assist Senior Finance professionals within the department with monthly control account reconciliations.
• Line manage an Assistant Financial Accountant.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience of regulatory financial returns and filings.
• Previous experience within a large, complex organisation with multiple subsidiaries.
• Excellent systems skills including Advanced.
