Buyer – Logistics Permanent

THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN LONDON, MIDLANDS OR MANCHESTER.

Key Responsibilities:

• A Strategic Buyer supporting a Procurement Manager looking after the Logistics category
• Run tenders working with operation teams, drivers, and other stakeholders across business with a focus on sustainability of delivery which will have a huge impact on the business
• Strategic focus – reduce cost , bring new ideas, support in executing category strategy
• Proactive in building relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value procurement can add

Key Skills:

• Curiosity, getting under the skin of BAU and an ability to see how BAU fits with the future category strategy
• Strategic buying experience is essential
• Analytical abilities – able to do an opportunity assessment and make recommendations
• Organised and structured in approach
• Ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• CIPS or a desire to do CIPS
