Group Tax Manager Permanent

An exciting role for a Group Tax Manager has arisen working for a global financial services group with a strong foothold in wealth management and capital markets. This is an autonomous role where you will have management for compliance and reporting obligations across all taxes. Additionally, you will provide support on tax strategy, planning initiatives, and management of tax risk. This is a broad and varied role with plenty of scope for further development.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide tax support on all aspects of corporate and business transactions including due diligence, tax strategy and tax-efficient planning initiatives
• Manage tax risk to achieve the optimal tax rate and cash tax position.
• Management of corporate tax compliance for UK and internationally and the preparation and /or review of corporation and deferred tax provisions
• Review and management of VAT and employer tax compliance, and providing support to the business on any issues or ad hoc queries arising from these taxes

The successful candidate will be required to proactively identifying opportunities and risks and drive projects and initiatives accordingly. The role has scope to evolve into a larger role, potentially getting junior support as your role scales, and you are involved with more projects.
