Cedar are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Analysis & Insight (MI) to lead the Management Information and Business Insight function within a leading UK financial services organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how data, analytics and insight support strategic decision-making across the business. Reporting into senior leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality management information and actionable insights enable better commercial, operational and customer outcomes.

Leading a talented team of analysts and MI professionals, you will drive the evolution of reporting and analytics capabilities, champion a data-driven culture and ensure insight becomes a key enabler of business performance and continuous improvement.

This is a predominantly remote role with occasional travel to our London office for collaboration, leadership meetings and key business activities.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Analysis & Insight, you will:

• Lead and develop the Analysis & Insight function, setting the strategic direction for Management Information, reporting and analytics.
• Deliver high-quality management information and meaningful business insight that supports Executive and senior leadership decision-making.
• Develop reporting that goes beyond performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand priorities and deliver analytical solutions that create measurable value.
• Champion a culture of evidence-based decision making, ensuring data and insight are embedded across the organisation.
• Oversee the development of dashboards, KPIs and performance reporting that provide a clear view of organisational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, data governance and analytical capability.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation and professional growth.

About You

You’ll be an experienced analytics leader with the ability to combine strategic thinking, commercial awareness and strong people leadership.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience leading Management Information, Business Intelligence or Analytics functions within Financial Services or another regulated environment.
• A proven track record of delivering insight that influences strategic and operational decision-making.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing analytical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders.
• The ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insight and practical business recommendations.
• Strong experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• A solid understanding of data governance, reporting standards and performance frameworks.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation and delivering business value through insight.

Desirable

• Experience of cloud-based data platforms and modern BI technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and analytical methodologies.
• Experience delivering enterprise-wide MI transformation programmes.
• Financial Services regulatory knowledge.
