Junior Commercial Finance Analyst (Retail)

Hybrid working (3 days per week in the office)

Full time, permanent role

Salary – £42,000 – £45,000 (depending on relevant experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Junior Commercial Finance Analyst to join a fast-paced and growing retail business. This is an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career within a highly collaborative and commercially driven environment. Retail experience is highly desirable.

Working closely with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple brands and business functions.

This role offers fantastic exposure across both finance and the wider business, giving you the chance to work closely with retail, trading, and head office teams to help drive commercial decision-making.

You’ll be involved in:

• Supporting weekly and monthly sales and performance reporting
• Analysing sales, margins, and stock performance
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Tracking KPIs and supporting store performance analysis
• Preparing financial reports, accruals, and budget tracking
• Supporting board reporting and wider finance reporting
• Assisting with ad hoc analysis and finance projects

About You

• Degree educated and/or studying towards an accounting qualification
• Previous retail, ecommerce, or multi-site experience is highly desirable
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
• Strong Excel skills including pivots and lookups
• Comfortable working with data, reporting, and financial models
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders across the business
• Passionate about retail, trading, and business performance
• Eager to learn and develop within a fast-paced commercial finance environment
