Procurement Manager – Operations & HSSE Permanent

Cedar are supporting a key client based in London, who operate in the Rail sector, who are looking to hire a Procurement Manager for their Operational and HSSE category. This role is a permanent job opportunity offering a salary range from £48,000 up to £50,000 per annum plus a variety of great benefits (free/discounted travel). This role will be hybrid with the expectation to be on-site 3 days per week in Central London.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing a number of end to end Procurements, in line with Public Sector Procurement Regulations, to deliver compliant solutions and value for money with a focus on Operational and HSSE (Health Safety, Security, and Environment). You will also be required to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders for the procurements you are tasked with delivering.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

• Recent experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. experience working in Procurement and/or Category Management is required
• Experience running end to end Procurements and a track record of delivering value for money and compliant solutions in the Public Sector for requirements in Operational and/or HSSE (Health Safety, Security, and Environment)
• Understanding of the new Procurement Act would be advantageous
• Experience in the Rail sector would be advantageous but is not required
