Personal Tax Assistant Manager – Ipswich (other local offices are available)

The Team
The team works with a diverse range of clients, including high net worth individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, professional practices, company directors, landowners, retirees, and family trusts and estates. This variety of clients provides the opportunity to work on a wide portfolio of projects in a collaborative environment where proactive client solutions are encouraged.

The Role
This dynamic and varied role offers excellent potential for personal and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, who is also capable of working independently.

The key responsibilities include preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates, as well as handling Capital Gains Tax returns, Inheritance Tax accounts, and Trust Registration filings.

The role may also involve supporting a range of tax advisory projects. There will be opportunities to apply technical expertise in delivering high-quality service to a portfolio of clients, reviewing Self Assessment tax returns, and assisting with the development of more junior members of the team.

The Ipswich office provides a modern and comfortable working environment, featuring excellent facilities, including a roof terrace. It is conveniently located near Ipswich station and the town centre, with parking available.

Skills Required

• At least 2 years of recent experience in a personal tax role or a mixed role with a strong personal tax focus.
• Ideally, ATT qualified (or higher), with potential study support for further qualifications, such as CTA.
• Experience managing a client portfolio is essential; budget management and billing experience are a bonus.
