Head of Commercial – Infrastructure/M&E Experience Required MRICS/CIOB
Location: London (On-site)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial with a strong background in quantity surveying and senior-level commercial leadership on large-scale infrastructure projects. This role demands a deep understanding of complex commercial environments, ideally with prior exposure to Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) elements due to the technical nature of the works involved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing commercial/QS team

• Oversee all aspects of commercial strategy, risk, and governance

• Manage contract negotiation and compliance (primarily NEC forms)

• Provide commercial support to work-winning and tender activities

• Collaborate with finance and delivery teams on forecasting and performance reporting

• Drive best practice across commercial operations and team development

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior Commercial or Quantity Surveying leadership role

• Strong background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) commercial/QS management

• In-depth understanding of NEC contracts and construction law

• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills

• Degree qualified with professional membership (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent)

• Sub-contracting into Tier 1 contractor experience (highly desirable)
