A dynamic and expanding VAT team is seeking a confident and ambitious VAT specialist to join their ranks. With plans to double in size over the next 3-5 years, this role offers strong promotion prospects for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with HMRC to ensure clients meet VAT obligations, avoiding costs and penalties.
- Provide clear, practical, and well-researched VAT advice.
- Resolve VAT disputes with HMRC, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage a diverse client portfolio, identifying new opportunities and generating projects.
Additional Duties:
- Support tender proposals, marketing initiatives, and due diligence.
- Provide VAT input for restructuring projects and train staff on VAT matters.
- Investigate VAT queries and review registration applications and returns.
Requirements:
- Experience in VAT advisory/compliance work.
- Strong understanding of VAT principles and technical skills.
- Ability to explain complex issues in simple terms.
- Proven track record in managing clients and winning new VAT work.
